6/28/10

Hey Troy,  So I'm going to try to write you again since the other one didn't come back I figure it must have worked.  So we got another letter today from you which was wonderful.  It's good to hear that you are doing well.  Dad is going to fax the immunization thing to the MTC tomorrow so don't worry about that anymore.  So how was it to pass the sacrament to the general authorities.  That is pretty exciting!  Did you get to say goodbye to Sandra and Ron before they left for Uruguay?  That is so fun you got to be in there with them and at the same time as all of the general authorities.  So hows the Polish going?  I'm sure you are overwhelmed right now but just remember to take it one day at a time.  I liked your statement of when you have hope you have everything.  That is really a true statement and a good one to always remember especially when you are trying to learn Polish.  So what has been going on here?  Kaylene and Craig sent you $40 and Sandra and Ron sent $25 and Cathy Hill sent $100 so I will put that in your checking account for you.  Make sure to thank them for the money.  I got some thank you notes for you that I will send soon.  So this week since I wrote, Alyssa and the kids and I went downtown to Hoopfest to watch Alex and Shelby Cooper play.  Kalen was a goofball and was shooting backwards and from way to far away and just being silly trying to impress the boys that were there watching and your mom being kind of competitive wasn't crazy about that but Alex and Shelby did good but they lost anyway.  They played again later but I didn't hear how that went and Shelby had to go home so she couldn't play on Sunday anyway.  Saturday night was conference and dad did the afternoon priesthood leadership session and then he and I went to the evening session.  It was really good.  Elder Binkerhoff of the 70 was the visiting general authority.  He was really good and really funny.  Sunday we had it piped into our building so it wasn't as good as being there but it was good also.  Dad, Alyssa Tate and Scott went to help with the Ironman while I played grandma and watched the kids.  About 8 I went and brought Alyssa home.  The boys didn't get home until 11:30 and as usual they brought bananas oranges, gatorade, power bars, goo for Curtis' training for the marathon. Dad bought a juicer and has been squeezing fresh orange juice for us which is sooooo good.  So Tate's good deal of the week.  Dreyers ice cream for 50 cent a half gallon....he only brought home  18 of them and he and scott are going right now to buy more.  We made huckleberry milkshakes today after we went to lake Cour d' alene.  We are going to be rolly pollys when you get home at this rate.  As I said we went to Lake Cour d' alene today.  It has been beautiful weather this week and we enjoyed it there today.  Cooper liked the water pretty well and he and grandpa had fun playing in it. It's still a little cold and he didn't love love it but he stayed in and played  quite awhile.  Sadie didn't like it at all and neither did Grandma(THAT'S ME)    So we got the pottery Barn flag done today and it looks really good.  I'll have to take pictures and send them soon.  I'm going to keep this alittle short so you have time to write us.  I love you so much and I am doing much much better so don't worry about me.  I still really miss you but I know you are doing the right thing and I am happy for you.
What a blessing  to have two righteous obedient sons who are serving our Heavenly Father.  I am a very lucky lucky mom. I know the true is church.. I love my Heavenly Father and if this is the sacrifice I have to make to prove that love I am okay with that.    Have a wonderful week... I love you mom.

6/25/10

Hey Troy,  This is a test run to see if this is your e-mail address and if it is we want you to be the first in your group to receive an e-mail from home.  How is the MTC?  I bet you are pretty thick into it already huh?  I am doing much better now and think I will be able to survive until Christmas so don't worry about me.  Things are going good here.  Very quiet without everybody here and without the wedding commotion.  We went to Riverfront Park on Wednesday and Cooper loved the goat(well after a little persuasion) He also loved the wagon and the ducks were a favorite too.  He rode the carousel and liked that a lot also.  Yesterday we met dad at Liberty Lake Park for a picnic lunch and that was fun.  The weather has been beautiful but today it is a little cloudy again.  Of course that's the day Tate is going on a date with Lindsey Leavitt to the lake.  He wouldn't call it a date so whatever you want to call it.  He took a picnic lunch and they went to Deer Lake I think.  Her parents have land there and they have a canoe and raft so they should have fun if it is warm enough today.  Last night Alyssa and I ran errands taking all of the wedding items that we didn't use back and we are going to make that pottery barn flag today.  Dad got it all cut out for us last night so it is ready to paint.  We are making one for Barb also. The kids are napping now so I should go get something done.  Can't wait to hear from you and see how your are doing.  I love you to death and I am so happy that you are ready and worthy to serve our Heavenly Father and I know that you will be an amazing missionary.  Work really hard and be really obedient and you will be blessed so much.  I'll write again as soon as I know this is your real address and when I have more to say.  I love you.  mom
